ELECTRICAL REBUILDER’S ASSOCIATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING Wednesday, April 4, 2007 The meeting began at 7:45 pm EST via conference call. Alan Melton, Dan Smith, Chris Thompson, Mike Schroeder, Jim Thomas, Blaine White, Kenny Turner, Scott Fureman, Larry Hagemeister, Wes Grueninger and Bob Thomas were in attendance. The first item on the agenda was the new web services program, scheduled to be introduced at the show. Wes said he has designed a logo and signs for the booth, written a handout explaining the program and how to get the most out of it, and created a contract. Several members have already expressed interest. The cost of shipping publications was discussed next. Bob said that shipping costs were all that was holding up the order form to be handed out at the show. All agreed to estimate actual cost of shipping for use on the form. Bob agreed to finish it up before the next meeting. The seminars were discussed at length. Kenny reported that 30 had attended in Texas and Bob reported that 17 attended in Montgomery. Both seminars were well received by the attendees. Mike added that advance registrations for Portland have been consistent with previous shows. Bob said he was impressed with the new Friday night seminar and explained that Joe had re-written it on his way to Texas. The next topic of discussion was the show in Portland. Larry said the ERA jackets are ready, and members are lined up to work in the booth. Mike suggested that Larry set up schedule to ensure adequate personnel are on hand at all times. fa) Mike informed everyone that Darlene fell in church on March 25 and broke her hip. She had hip replacement surgery on March 27 and was recovering as well as could be expected. Bob is taking calls to the office until she can return to normal working hours. Mike said she was doing some work at home, and that between the two of them they had managed to get all the work done on time for the first two seminars. He said it is not known if she will be able to make the trip to Portland, but he said she still hopes to attend if the doctor approves. A decision is not likely until the last week of April. Alan said he has been talking with Polly daily and that as of this date there are 31 exhibitors registered. Mike urged all present to contact any suppliers not registered and try to persuade them to exhibit. The nomination and elections of officers for 2007 was discussed next. Because Scott withdrew his nomination for president via an email earlier in the day and Hank withdrew his nomination for regional VP at the meeting, Alan said he expects the slate to contain just one name for each office, as long as no nominations are made from the floor.
