Minutes: ERA Board of Directors Meeting Wednesday September 16, 2009 Start time 6:30 pm CDT Attendees: Larry Hagemeister, Jason Kiser, Ronnie Charnes, Ken Plourde, Kenny Turner, Mike Dietrich, Mike Schroeder, Wes Grueninger, Jerry Keiffer, Chris Thompson, Jim Thomas, Daren Roggentien 1: Treasurers Report: Chris Thompson reported all bills are paid with a balance of $23,482.16. 2: Membership Report: Tom Barrett reported that there are 452 members. 383 rebuilder members of which 40 are Canadian rebuilders, 7 individual members, 52 supplier members, 8 warehouse members, 2 web hosts. There were 50 membership renewals. 3: 2010 Electrical Rebuilders Show: a. Polly Shea gave information on the 2010 ERE Trade Show. The dates are May 21 & 22. As of now the format will be the same as in previous years. The location has not been decided as of this time. It will either be located in Kansas City or Covington, Kentucky. If the location is in Kansas City it will be in a downtown location with more to offer after the show (restaurants, entertainment, shopping, etc.). Polly will have all the details on location and dates for publication in the October ERE paper. b. After the location and dates are set she will be contacting the ERA show committee to set up other details. 4: Tech Committee Report: a. Wes reported that generator armature testing fore reclaim procedures has been finished and will be put on the ERA web site and will be published in the ERE aper. Tico generator hookup information has been finished and is ready to be put online. Prestolite information is being worked on. Web site is being updated. Training videos have sent to the technical committee members for viewing. Wes has been working on dissecting Vensels soldering video to make training videos. He thought that this should be finished by the end of October or the first part of November. He also told attendees that training videos could be made from still photos or copied from other videos, etc. If anyone has something that they think could be shared with other rebuilders they should contact Wes. g. Mike reported that he results of the poll for offering wiring diagrams as an added benefit for ERA members. moaes Of the 100 shops polled: 40 did not want it 15 wanted starting and charging only 45 wanted entire vehicle wiring The technical committee did not feel that the numbers were in favor of going ahead with this at this time.
