Minutes: ERA Board of Directors Wednesday August 18, 2010 Attendees: Henry Henke, Joe Bradish, Dean Conner, Ronnie Charnes, Alan Reynolds, Bill Ernst, Ken Plourde, Mike Schroeder, Bill Skillings, Chris Thompson, Kenny Turner, Jim Thomas, Daren Roggentien. President Larry Hagemeister was not able to attend. The meeting was chaired by Executive Vice President Ken Plourde. 3: a. b. Treasurers Report: Chris Thompson reported a balance of $10,423.37 with all bills paid in full Membership Report: Tom Barrett was not able to attend but reported via email 439 members as of the end of July. Technical/Training Report: Mike Schroeder reported that the Tech. Line has had normal usage. Wes Grueninger was unable to attend but reported via email that he was able to reach Marshall Burr, the producer of Machine Shop Secrets DVD. He informed Wes that he has been on the road and would get back with him next month. Wes Grueninger reported that he has created an Equipment Manuals Library for the ERA Web Site. This is now online for members to view. Wes Grueninger reported that he has created a Wiring Diagrams Manual for the ERA Web Site. Mike Schroeder sent in 110 wiring diagrams that are online and can be viewed by members. Wes Grueninger reported that he has added a new video to the Video Library using material provided by Al Steadman from Litens. Wes Grueninger reported that he and Bob Thomas have created an article for the ERE Newspaper on removing blind bushings using a thread tap. They are also going to make a video of this for the Video Library. Richard Vensel via email asked if there was a long term plan in place for Tech. Articles and Videos. Mike Schroeder responded that there is a long term plan in place and there are several Videos and Technical articles in the works. Wes Grueninger reported that he has several Videos partially finished. He and Bob Thomas are working on the next chapter of Rebuilding Generators. This chapter will be on Voltage Regulators. Mike Schroeder told attendees that he thinks something to add to the next newsletter is for members to regularly check the Video Library and Tech. section of the ERA Web Site for updates.
