Minutes ERA Board of Directors Wednesday November 21%, 2012 Start Time 6:35 pm CST. Attendees: Alan Reynolds, Henry Henke, Ken Plourde, Jerry Kieffer, Ronnie Charnes, Mike Schroeder, Wes Grueninger, Joe Bradish, Mike Dietrich, Chris Thompson, Larry Hagemeister, Daren Roggentien. 1: Treasurers Report: a. Chris Thompson reported a balance of $41,188.28 in the ERA checking account with all bills paid in full. 2: Membership Report: a. Mike Schroeder reported that Kristina had contacted him and informed that she would not be able to fulfill the position of making phone contacts for the membership committee. Mike reported that Darlene has been making some membership calls and is willing to assume the position on an interim basis to see if it is something she is able to do. Attendees felt that Darlene would be a good fit for the position. Mike will report back in December on how this is working. Mike informed that as of the end of October there were 433 members. 3: Technical/Training Committee Report: a. b. Bob Thomas reported that the Tech. Line had normal usage for the month. Wes Grueninger informed the Tech. Committee that he is collecting information on magneto parts and service that he can scan and add to the ERA Tech. Library. Lynn Gross and Ken Plourde offered to send information to Wes. Wes and Bob talked about the last tech article on Leece Neville Multi Power alternator systems- where multiple alternator regulators communicate to synchronize and balance the load evenly. Bob informed attendees that the next tech article would be on 21SI and 22SI Delco alternators, their differences, common problems and solutions. Attendees offered ideas on things that should be included in the tech article. Joe Bradish questioned whether anyone had trouble changing the slip ring on Valeo alternators used on Sprinter Vans. Joe informed that the slip ring leads are epoxied between the slip ring assembly and where the leads pass under the cooling fan. Joe informed attendees that he has seen where Ford dealerships are selling the Denso hairpin alternators used on Ford pickups for a few dollars more than what WD’s are selling them. Ken Plourde talked about the Delco PG260H starters with flat commutators.
