Minutes of the ERA Quarterly Board of Directors Meeting December 20° ,2023 7:30 P.M. CST The meeting was called to order by Chairman Lonnie Bain. Roll call was taken, members attending were Daren Roggentien, Art Glass, Alan Reynolds, Bob Hopko, Joe Mazzone, Mark Hoogterp, Alan Melton, John Prinvale, Lonnie Bain, Jerry Kiefer, Bob Thomas, Tom Barrett, Kenny Turner, Michele Schroeder, Larry Hagemeister, Mohammad Sammi, Ken Plourde, Ryder Keller, Paul Sailon and Mike Schroeder. The Consent Agenda was approved with no additions or corrections. The minutes from the September meeting were read and approved. The treasury report was given by Mike Schroeder and approved with an ending checking account balance of $2780.73. Michele Schroeder gave the membership report, there are 348 current members. 2 new Suppliers and 6 new Rebuilders joined in the last quarter. No correspondence was received by the office. Stephanie Schroeder was absent; no magazine report was given. Bob Thomas reported that Dustin was looking into the Plug Code problem. Mohammad Sammi stated the tech line usage was up slightly, most calls were in reference to plug codes and connections. He plans to discuss plug codes at the tradeshow. In the Open Forums, Mark Hoogterp announced that WAI had partnered with University of the Aftermarket Foundation to administer the Bill Ernst Memorial Scholarship. Information is now available on the WAI website. The ERA agreed to publish the flyer they produced for the program in the Exchange magazine. In Old business; Mike Schroeder presented the proposed the 2024 Budget that was prepared at the Budget meeting. The total budget for 2024 is projected to be $173,720.00. A motion was made by Ken Plourde, seconded by Pail Sailon to accept the 2024 Proposed Budget, the motion passed unanimously. Mike also reported on the 2024 Tradeshow, the seminar presenters are being gathered along with the seminar topics. The schedule of events is also being finalized. A trip to the St. Louis Arch and museum is planned for Thursday morning, filling out the day with seminars Thursday afternoon. Friday will be an all-day expo for the suppliers in the ballroom with an appearance by Nascar’s Kenny Wallace speaking at the luncheon. Saturday will be an entire day of seminars and the roundtable discussion prior to closing the show. The next meeting will be held at the trade show on Friday, April 5′” at 8:00 A.M.
