Electrical Rebuilder’s PURPOSE: To serve the electrical rebuilding industry by providing information and knowledge to the members and associates of the industry and to further the education and _ professionalism of the members of this industry. To promote the public image and awareness of the electrical rebuilding industry. MEMBERSHIP: Shall consist of: electrical rebuilders; parts, equipment and core suppliers; educators; and associates of the automotive electrical industry, whose primary head- quarters or residence is located in North America. DUES: Annual dues will be assessed as follows; Rebuilders (companies or individuals) $150 Suppliers (electrical parts and equipment, single location and parent co.) $300 Warehouse branch locations $100 Individual (educators, publishers, retired technicians, technicians not actively employed or employed by related industries) $150 PRIVILEGES: Members of this organization shall receive a certificate of membership. They shall receive full access to the ERA Web site, a communication tool which includes a message board for technical assistance and parts searching, a weekly chat room for the purpose of sharing technical information, and an archive of technical articles and bulletins. They shall receive an annual subscription to the Electrical Rebuilders Exchange newspaper, and discounted admission to ERA sponsored trade shows. Each member is entitled to one monthly, four line add in the Electrical Rebuilder’s Exchange classified section. MEETINGS: All meetings shall be conducted according to Roberts Rules of Order. Monthly board meetings will be held online utilizing the ERA Web site board chat room. Monthly meetings will be held on the same day and time each month, to be determined by the president. In addition, a Yahoo e-group shall be set up for communication between organization officers and advisors, and participation is required. An annual meeting will be held in conjunction with the annual trade show for the purpose of electing officers, adding to and amending the bylaws, and conducting any business deemed necessary by the board of directors. All meeting agendas will be posted by the Secretary five days prior to the meeting. The minutes of each meeting shall be posted to the Web site by the secretary. QUORUM: A quorum will consist of six members of the board of directors. OFFICERS: BOARD OF DIRECTORS: Shall consist of the following officers, of which at least six must be rebuilders. President Executive Vice President National Vice President Regional Vice President-Northeast Regional Vice President North Central Regional Vice President-Northwest Regional Vice President-Southeast Regional Vice President South Central Regional Vice President-Southwest Executive Secretary Treasurer BOARD OF TRUSTEES: Shall consist of the president, execu- tive vice president, national vice president, executive secretary and treasurer. NATIONAL BOARD OF ADVISORS: Shall consist of a panel of at least 18 and not more than 24 members representing all segments of the industry. All officers shall be included on the national board of advisors. Active participation is a require- ment of all advisors. Nomination: Three members of the advisory board. TERMS OF OFFICE: All executive board members shall serve for a term of two years. President, national vice president, two regional vice presidents and secretary shall be elected on the odd numbered years. Executive vice president, three regional vice presidents and treasurer shall be elected on even numbered years. All directors, advisors and committee members shall serve for one year unless otherwise specified by the board of directors. There shall be no term limitations on any elected or appointed office. Executive board members shall only serve in one executive capacity. They are eligible to serve in other appointed positions. ELECTIONS: Election of officers will be held during the annual trade show. Nominations for offices shall be submitted by the nomination committee and posted to the Web site at least two weeks prior to the convention. Voting can be done online, by mail, or in person at the convention.
