“dixie verse gy TECH TIPS Dixie Part Numbers: TBA Applications: 2010 — 2011 Chevrolet Equinox 2010 — 2011 GMC Terrain 2011 Cadillac SRX Condition: The operator of the vehicle may complain that intermittently the engine fails to crank and start. Cause: A possible cause for the above conditions is an improperly installed push on connector to the starter switch terminal. Correction: Follow the manufacturers recommended diagnostic and repair procedures which includes examining the plastic connector for plastic flashing which may have prevented the terminal on the purple wire from being properly seated into the solenoid cavity. If flashing is observed, carefully remove it with a sharp tool. Make sure that the tension is correct when reinstalling the connector as the flashing may have spread the terminal. If the terminal is damaged replace it. REV: 20110919 Courtesy of APRA TSB_1029.docx Dixie Tech Tips are intended for use by professional technicians, and are not for the general public.
