‘dixie verse gy TECH TIPS Dixie Part Numbers: TBA Applications: 2008 — 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe Two-Mode Hybrid 2008 — 2011 GMC Yukon Two-Mode Hybrid 2009 — 2011 Cadillac Escalade Two-Mode Hybrid 2009 — 2011 Chevrolet Silverado Two-Mode Hybrid 2009 — 2011 GMC Sierra Two-Mode Hybrid Condition: The operator of the vehicle may complain of one or more if the following conditions: – Intermittently the engine fails to crank and start. – The Service Engine Soon light comes on. – The Service Brake System message comes on. – The Service Hybrid message comes on. – Various other electrical issues. The technician may observe multiple diagnostic trouble codes commencing with a “U” stored in the system. Cause: A possible cause for the above conditions is a poor ground connection at terminal G300 and G102 and/or backed out connectors at connection X150 and X109. Correction: Follow the manufacturers recommended diagnostic and repair procedures which include inspecting the ground connector carefully. Undercoating material has been found contaminating this junction, clean and repair this point when required. Inspect the plug in connectors with the appropriate terminal test probe and ensure that the connectors are fully seated and not backed out.
