Cause: A potential cause for the above conditions is that the starter battery cable may chafe against the power steering hose, and overtime result in a faulty continuity to ground. Correction: Follow the manufacturers recommended diagnostic and repair procedures which include inspecting for clearance and replacing the battery cables when required.
