divin | # | [| { & | verse gy TECH TIPS Dixie Part Numbers: TBA Applications: 2011 — 2012 Chevrolet Volt Conditions: The operator of the vehicle may complain that the check engine light is on and that the vehicle will not charge. The technician will observe diagnostic trouble code POD58 stored in the system memory and possibly code POCD2. Cause: A potential cause for the above conditions is the charge port door switch. If the switch is inoperative it fails in the closed mode, even if the port is open, preventing charging from occurring. Correction: Inspect the switch circuit with the port open and inspect the steel tab, which is to only be down when the port is closed following the manufacturer’s recommended diagnostic and repair procedures.
