Read on… Correction: For the above years there were changes to the exhaust system making it necessary to use aluminised wire wrap to protect the starter battery wire and switch lead. The wire wrap contains ALUMINUIM, which albeit a poor conductor, it is still a conductor. Inspect the starter connection leads and ensure that the wire wrapping does not touch the starter terminals or the terminals on the wires (also ensure that they do not shift from vibration into a contact position).
