Condition: The vehicle may experience alternator overheating and failure. Cause: A possible cause for the above is improperly routed vent and drain lines may result in the alternator overheating and failing. Correction: If the above vehicle comes in with an alternator failure verify that the vent and drain lines are the most current ones. The OE parts that are to be used are shown in the table below.
