Cause: When removing and reinstalling the battery post cable terminals do not over-torque them. They are designed with a special T-shaped bolt that tightens the terminal around the post. Over tightening the bolt will cause the terminal to crack. Correction: The terminal post bolt requires 44 Ib in or 5 Nm of torque. If the terminal has cracked it is sold separately from the lead as part number 19116852.
