Cause: The regulator plug connector on the above part numbers has the same terminal designations as many GM automotive applications. However, most automotive applications will operate with no S or sense lead connected. The above part numbers will not work with out a sense lead connected. Correction: Always connect a sense wire (battery positive) to the S terminal when testing an alternator from the above list of part numbers.
