Cause: A possible cause is a corroded terminal nut or corroded battery wire due to the use of dissimilar metals (production units only). The factory supplied nut was steel and causes corrosion with terminal and post as they are dissimilar metals. Correction: The manufacturer recommends that the factory-supplied hardware (steel) is scrapped and the replacement hardware is used. In addition they recommend replacing the wiring harness if it is corroded as well, they do not recommend replacing the terminal only. Follow the manufacturers recommended diagnostic and repair procedures.
