The technician may find the battery low or dead. Cause: A possible cause for the above concern is that the operator of the vehicle may accidentally leaves the Push Button Start switch in the Accessory mode. This leaves all of the accessories in the “awake” mode and draws excessive current. Correction: Before performing any work on the vehicle fully charge the battery and test it to ensure that it has not been damaged, replace the battery if required. If the Remote Function Actuator, RFA, time out feature is desired it is included in IDS B61.07 and higher and was not included in the 2009-5 DVD release of updates. Follow the manufacturer’s recommended procedures should updating the RFA be required.
