chiwia . & | [| { 8 | anees / TECH TIPS Dixie Part Numbers: A-352 A-354 A-8265 A-8267 Applications: 1989 — 1997 Chrysler Dodge and Plymouth applications Condition: The operator of the vehicle may complain of a noise similar to a bad bearing or arcing sound. Cause: This noise may be caused by an incorrect pulley alignment. Correction: To determine if the pulley alignment is the source of the noise spray the inside of the alternator belt with water. If the noise goes away then belt alignment is the likely cause. There are 2 fixes depending on the model year. e On 1989 — 1990 vehicles a replacement-mounting bracket has been released. The part number for the bracket is 4556173. In addition there is an alignment procedure and washer released as part number 6500299. e On1991 — 1994 vehicles the replacement bracket is not required however an alignment procedure and washer have been released under part number 6500299. Follow the manufacturers instructions to install the applicable kits.
