‘dixie ELECTRIC J S-6214 Dixie Part Numbers: Applications: Condition: TECH TIPS 2000 — 2001 Saturn L-Series with V6 Engine The engine may crank and not start, start and then stall or come in with a starter that is burnt out. When the ECM is scanned DTC P1632 will be stored in memory. Cause: When Passlock security messages are transferred between the body control module and the engine control module there may be a software conflict that will cause the engine control module to activate the theft deterrent system and disable the fuel supply. Correction: If DTC B1372, BCM Passlock DTC’s or other communications codes are in the memory, diagnose and repair the conditions that caused those codes first. Then determine if the ECM requires calibration. Requires Calibration Does not Require Calibration On 2000 production vehicles if the ECM calibration is 02610601, 02610602, 02620101 or 02620102 the ECM must be updated On 2000 production vehicles if the ECM calibration is not 02610601, 02610602, 02620101 or 02620102 do not update the ECM.
