chiwia . & | [| { 8 | anees / TECH TIPS Dixie Part Numbers: S-1463 and S-6214 Applications: 2001 Saturn L-Series vehicles Condition: The engine on some vehicles may crank without starting, start then stall or the engine may hesitate under heavy load or acceleration. This condition may also be accompanied by diagnostic trouble codes P0171 and/or P0174. Cause: Fuel system pressure may be lost due to a disconnected fuel supply hose inside the fuel pump. The fuel supply hose runs between the jet pump fitting and the top of the fuel pump. Correction: Follow the manufacturers recommended procedures for inspecting the fuel supply system. If the diagnostics leads to repairs other then the fuel pump model perform those. If the diagnostics leads to the fuel pump module replace it. Should the hose be disconnected inside the fuel pump module do not repair it, the module must be replaced. The pump module kit is part number 22672353.
