Condition: The operator of the vehicle may comment that the light on the dash is flickering and the battery cut out relay is clicking. Cause: This may be caused by incompatibility between the alternator, the after- run coolant pump and the battery cut out relay. Correction: Verify that the vehicle does have the dual battery package. If it does check the after run coolant pump part number and the part number on the regulator. The regulator must not have the part number 078 903 803E, stamped BR14-H on the cover. The coolant pump must have the part number 3D0 965 561D or there will be incompatibility issues. Replace the parts as required and test the charging system to ensure that the light no longer flickers on the dash.
