’ hivio asevesae / TECH TIPS Dixie Part Numbers: S-6284 Applications: 2006 — 2008 Chrysler 300C, 300C Touring (International Markets) with 3.0L Diesel with a manufacturing date prior to March 29, 2007. 2007 — 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 3.0L Diesel with a manufacturing date prior to June 12, 2007. 2005 — 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee (International Markets) with 3.0L Diesel with a manufacturing date prior to March 28, 2007. 2006 — 2008 Jeep Commander (International Markets) with 3.0L Diesel with a manufacturing date prior to March 28, 2007. Condition: Some vehicle operators may complain that the engine cranks but will not start. Cause: A possible cause for the above condition is a faulty crankshaft position sensor. Correction: Follow the manufacturer’s recommended procedures for testing the crankshaft position sensor. Note: crankshaft position sensors with a manufacturing date of 07 T 59 and lower had a defect and should be replaced.
