divi | # | [| { & | verse gy TECH TIPS Dixie Part Numbers: TBA Applications: 2009 — 2013 Volkswagen Jetta 2.0L TDI Conditions: The operator of the vehicle may complain of one of the following conditions in cold weather (below 0°C / 32°F): – The vehicle cranks but will not start. – The MIL light may be on. The technician may observe various diagnostic trouble codes stored in the system pertaining to induction of boost faults. Cause: A possible cause for the above conditions is blockage in the air intake system. Moisture may condense in the charge air cooler and at cold temperatures may freeze and block the intake. Correction: Follow the manufacturer’s recommended diagnostic and repair procedures which may include installing a revised charge air cooler kit (manufacturer’s part number 1KO 198 803B).
