Cause: A potential cause for the above conditions is a flaw in the remote starter module that results in an above normal parasitic drain. Correction: The manufacturer has released an updated remote engine starter module to correct the parasitic drain issue. Follow the manufacturer’s recommended repair procedures to diagnose and replace the module if applicable. The originally installed module was part number 08190-42830, the replacement one is PT398-42080.
