Cause: A potential cause for the charge warning indicator light coming on is salt water residue getting inside the alternator in climates where salt is used on the road to melt the snow. Correction: Toyota recommends using A-80305 in place of A-80036 with the installation of a foam strip in the engine cover and an engine oil baffle plate. Refer to the manufactures recommended installation procedures when installing these parts.
