LXE } TECH TIPS Dixie Part Numbers: S-80150 Applications: 2002 — 2005 Land Rover Freelander Condition: The operator of the vehicle may complain that intermittently the vehicle will not start or that the vehicle shows signs of hard starting or long slow cranking. Cause: A potential cause for this is a miss print in the service manual showing the incorrect torque for the battery post on the starter. Correction: Disconnect the negative battery cable and then check that the torque on the nut that holds the battery cable on the starter is 10 Nm (88.8 Lb In). Reconnect the negative ground cable.
