Cause: A possible cause for this is the alarm computer. The alarm system computer has been observed “crashing” or “locking-up” Correction: 1) To get the car moving and avoid a tow bill the alarm computer can be reset… CNTRL… ALT… DEL… this will erase the radio pre-set stations so remember to mark these down for the customer. To reset the computer the 30A IGN fusible link must be removed from the engine compartment fuse panel (located in the engine compartment on the driver’s side between the battery and the suspension. Wait for a few seconds and reinsert the fuse. This should reset the alarm computer. This is only a bandage and not a solution. 2) The manufacturer recommends replacing the alarm computer and the relay pack. Follow the manufactures recommended procedures for replacing the alarm system computer and relays. The new part numbers are 00243-H6110 (computer) and 00243-10000 (relays). The factory installed relays are individual components where-as the revised ones are formed into one unit.
