Cause: A potential cause for this is interference generated by other transponders such as, but not limited to the following: e A fuel company SpeedPass or Mobil Pass e Other Infiniti ignition keys e Other vehicle manufactures transponder style ignition keys Correction: If the owner of the vehicle has any of the above or similar transponder devices within 2 to 3 cm of the vehicle ignition key (such as on the same key ring) the issue may be present. To correct this the other transponder device simply needs to be moved further away. NOTE: Once the vehicle is started the interfering transponder will not cause the engine to stall or the malfunction light to be illuminated.
