LXE } TECH TIPS Dixie Part Numbers: S-8462, S-8476 Applications: 2000 Isuzu Amigo 3.2L 2000 Isuzu Rodeo 3.2L 2000 Isuzu Trooper 3.5L Condition: The vehicle operator (or service technician) may complain of a failure to start when the accelerator is pressed. Cause: The powertrain control module is programmed to check the angle of the throttle. The throttle angle must be 9.5 degrees followed by a key-on angle of 7.5 degrees, if not the system determines there is a system fault and will not start. Correction: Inform the customer not to touch the accelerator when starting the engine or the vehicle will not start.
