Cause: The hybrid 12V battery has special handling requirements in order to properly charge it (should it be dead). Correction: Follow the manufacturer’s recommended procedures for charging and handling the vehicle’s 12V system. Including but not limited to: e Limit the charge rate to a maximum of 5 Amps. Must, must, must be a trickle charge! e Removing the battery from the vehicle to charge it. e Donot attempt to charge the battery from the positive stud in the engine compartment. e Do not attempt to charge the battery inside the trunk compartment.
