LXE } TECH TIPS Dixie Part Numbers: A-8197 A-8362 A-8378 Applications: 1990 — 1993 Acura Legend 1990 — 1993 Honda Accord Condition: The operator of the vehicle may complain of a continually discharged battery. Cause: A possible cause is an incorrectly aligned glove box light switch. The glove box switch plunger “appears” to be too short and does not consistently turn off. Correction: The manufacturer has released a retrofit cap, which fits over the existing switch plunger. This extends the length of the plunger to ensure that the switch is turned off when the glove box is closed. The Acura part number for the retrofit cap is 34245-SPO-A03.
