Cause: A possible cause for the above is a malfunction in the alternator clutch pulley. Correction: Inspect the alternator and clutch pulley following the manufacturer’s recommended procedures. The manufacturer has revised the clutch pulley for the alternator. The new service part number for the pulley is 27405- OW020, the cover for the pulley is 27416-OW050. Changing the pulley will require an alternator clutch holding tool set, the manufacturer lists this as part number 09820-63020-02.
