The vehicle will crank but will fail to start. The technician may observe one or more of the following diagnostic trouble codes relating to the vehicle’s immobilisation system stored in the system memory B2799 and/or B2784, B2797, B2798. Cause: A potential cause for the above conditions is the programming in the transponder key electronic control unit. Correction: The allocated time to change the transponder key electronic control unit is 8.5 hours $$$ so it would be prudent to follow the manufacturer’s recommended procedures to confirm that the transponder key electronic control unit is the source of the problem.
