Minutes: ERA Board of Directors Wednesday December 21%, 2011 Start Time 6:30 pm CST Attendees: Bob Thomas, Chris Thompson, Alan Reynolds, Ronnie Charnes, Henry Henke, Bill Ernst, Joe Bradish, Tom Barrett, Mike Schroeder, Mike Dietrich, Larry Hagemeister, Ken Plourde, Daren Roggentien. 1: Treasurers Report: a. b. Chris Thompson reported a balance of $29,382.15 in the ERA checking with all bills paid in full. Chris informed attendees that expenses for the year to date are $89,719.70. Income for the year to date of $97,289.75, which does not include all the income for December 2011. Chris reported that though there shows a surplus of income for the 2011 year that the ERA lost approximately $11,000.00 in the 2010 year. 2: Membership Report: a. b. Tom Barrett reported the following. The ERA has a current membership of 455. There were 32 renewals for the month and 3 new members. Tom reported that Jean Harbrige had made 87 calls to former members for the month and of these several were no longer good phone numbers or the business had closed. Tom informed that since Jean has started making membership calls the membership has grown from 439 members to 455. Mike Schroeder made a motion to reimburse Chris Thompson for expenses that he incurred while Jean was making membership calls for the ERA. Chris Thompson informed that he would not accept any money from the ERA for Jeans time making calls for the ERA. The motion died for a lack of a second. 3: Technical/Training Committee Report: a. b. Mike Schroeder reported that the Tech. Line has had normal usage for the month. Bob Thomas reported that there are two tech. articles in the works. One article deals with starter shunt coils and the other article is on the importance of testing rotors with the correct polarity on some alternators. Henry Henke informed attendees that he would be making a video on Bosch 417 starters. Joe Bradish reported that he had trouble with a 565 drive not wanting to release. There are several different springs that this style of drives use depending on application. Mark at IPM/Facet provided the information and offered to help if an article is produced on these drives.
