Minutes ERA Board of Directors Wednesday October 17″, 2012 Start Time 6:35 pm CDT Attendees: Alan Reynolds, Tom Barrett, Henry Henke, Bob Thomas, Drew Withrow, Rick King, Joe Bradish, Ronnie Charnes, Kenny Turner, Mike Schroeder, Wes Grueninger, Dean Conner, Ken Plourde, Daren Roggentien. 1: Treasurers Report: Chris Thompson was unable to attend the meeting. 2: Membership Report: a. b. Mike Schroeder reported that he is compiling a list of delinquent members for Kristina. Mike will keep the board up to date on the progress of the calls. Mike informed that the current membership is 444. 3: Technical/Training Report: a. b. Bob Thomas reported that the ERA Tech. Line had below normal calls for the month of September but was back to normal for the month of October to date. Dan Marinucci attended the Tech. meeting and shared his ideas for a 4-hour seminar to be held at the 2013 ERA Trade Show. The seminar would cover computer-controlled alternators on GM and Ford vehicles. The title of the seminar would be “Avoiding Warranties on GM and Ford Computer Controlled Alternators”. Dan informed the Tech Committee that he would have a proposal for them to present to the ERA Board for its October meeting. Gene Kaiser informed the Tech Committee that he has made videos for Regitars Web Site on testing and adjusting point type generator regulators. Gene told the committee that the ERA is welcome to add the videos to the ERA Video Library. Wes Grueninger reported that he is working on updating the search-ability of the fast growing ERA Tech. Library. Wes informed that he has added a video on air starters that he received from Mike Conner. 4: Old Business: a. ERA and Credit Cards: 1. Wes Grueninger informed attendees that he had checked into upgrading the ERA’s Pay Pal account. Pay Pal offers an upgrade called Pay Pal Pro that offers a lot of benefits. The Pay Pal Pro program could possibly replace the credit card processor the ERA office currently uses. The Pay Pal Pro program uses a program called virtual terminal. The virtual terminal program would allow the ERA to accept credit card payments from any Internet connected computer. The ERA would be able to accept credit card payments at the ERA Trade Show for seminar registration, new joins, renewals, and items that are sold out of the ERA Trade Show Booth. The program could also be used by the membership committee when making membership calls. The fee is the same as the ERA is currently paying for the Pay Pal account, 2.9% plus a .30 transaction fee, plus $30.00 per month for the virtual terminal program.
