Cause: A potential cause for the above condition is a design flaw where the alternator and starter are connected in series, by-passing the circuit protection devises. Correction: When working on the vehicles inspect the ground leads and connections, the corrected vehicles will have the ground leads re-routed from the starter to the engine ground stud.
