Cause: A potential cause, especially in colder climates, is that if the 12V battery system, used for cranking the engine and a variety of accessories drops below 7V the on board computer system locks out the starting circuit to prevent damage to the starting circuit and its components. Correction: Advise the customer of this safety feature and ensure that the 12V battery system is fully charged and that the battery is within proper operating parameters.
